TERMS & CONDITIONS In order to be a member of the World Football League (hereafter referred to as the WFL), each Team (including its officers, directors, board members, and staff) must agree to and abide by the terms listed below.
Each Team must:
1. Adopt, uphold, and promote the Vision and Mission of the WFL.
2. Strive to uphold and enforce the rules and procedures outlined in the WFL.
3. Strive to work within the structure and chain of concern set up by the league and follow the guidelines and procedures established by the WFL board of directors
4. Assign one representative (team member) to be a member of the leagues rules committee. This representative shall be responsible for representing the interest of their team at the committee meetings and be granted voting rights on all issues pertinent to the league rules when they are present at the committee meetings. In addition, this individual will be responsible for accurately relaying information from the league to the members of the team.
5. Pay the complete League Fee in accordance with payment schedule or date(s) otherwise designated by the board of directors. The board of
directors will designate the amount of the fee/assessment. The fee/assessment may include any of the following: Administrative expenses, new team resource and guidance center, website, league marketing and advertising materials, award for outstanding organizations, coaches, and players; custom WFL footballs, championship game and all-star game which offers players the opportunity to showcase talent in a public forum, awards banquet, assistance in purchase of championship rings, transportation assistance for championship teams invited to participate in national championship games, etc.
6. Abide by all rules of player eligibility to be determined by the WFL Board of Directors.
7. Prior to the first game, the team must be in compliance with all minimum standards and rules.
8. This Application must be submitted with a $50 non-refundable application fee.
9. The WFL Board of Directors reserves the right NOT to renew the contract of any Team that is determined to have repeated difficulties abiding by this contract.
10. Team owners assume all risk and damages involved with the actions of team players and staff in relation to all football activities associated with the WFL. Owners hold harmless the WFL its officers, agents, sponsors and staff and assume all legal responsibilities related to any claim made against the WFL, its officers, agents, sponsors and staff.
Disclaimer and Signature
The signatures below indicate the Team's commitment to abide by the terms listed in this agreement and to participate as a member of the WFL for the complete upcoming football season. I (We) as Owner(s)/Officer(s) of the named team, agree to membership in the WFL, LLC. for the year beginning this signing date through the final game of the 2008 season. I certify that all owners/operating officers of my organization have signed this agreement. By signing this contract I agree that it is legally binding, and supersedes all agreements between my organization and the WFL.
